For over three decades, poetry has been both anchor and compass in my creative journey. I first turned to writing in fourth grade, finding in poetry a powerful lens through which to explore my multiracial identity and navigate the complexities of a divided home. Those early verses scribbled in notebooks have marked the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the craft.

The Rhyme Scheme represents the latest chapter in my journey, building on a lifetime of crafting verse that bridges cultures, examines identity, and celebrates the vibrant pulse of city life that first inspired me to pick up a pen.
